Antonio Serrano

Antonio Serrano is considered one of the greatest harmonica performers of all time.
His biggest contribution to Spanish music, has been to introduce harmonica in flamenco, consolidating this innovation, by being part of the group of Paco de Lucia between 2004 and 2014.
His great musical versatility has led him to make projects and collaborations in other musical fields such as jazz, classical music, tango and pop.
At the age of 13, he participates with Larry Adler in the Classic Aid II gala in Paris directed by Lorin Maazel, a gala where Placido Domingo, James Galway and Salvatore Accardo are accompanying artists. He spent his teens playing classical concerts with European orchestras. His restless nature makes him discover jazz and is dedicated to this discipline.
It is becoming very popular with artists of national names. He did not receive international recognition until 2004 when he joined the Paco de Lucía group in which he remained until his death. Meanwhile he carries out his personal projects in quartet, duo or solo. In November 2020 he premiered his adaptation for harmonica and orchestra of El Sombrero de Tres Picos by Manuel de Falla and in February 2021 he premiered another project called Bach & “Bach” with Daniel Oyarzabal and Pablo Martín Caminero dedicated to the great German composer Bach where the critic L.
