Su trepidante trayectoria le ha valido para ser premiado con el Masters of Mediterranean Music en Jazz Flamenco por su aportación revo­lucionaría a este estilo, otorgado en 2014 por el Berklee Mediterranean Music Institute, así como recientemente ha recibido el GRAMMY LATINO, por parte de la LATIN ACADEMY OF RECORDING ARTS & SCIENCES, en reconocimiento por su participación como artista en la grabación del disco ENTRE 20 AGUAS: A LA MUSICA DE PACO DE LUCIA.

 

Antonio Serrano es un virtuoso de su instrumento, uno de los nombres más grandes en el jazz actual y uno de los músicos más solicitados de este país. Dotado con una facilidad técnica fascinante y un profundo conocimiento teórico, Serrano también muestra una enorme versatilidad musical la cual es fielmente reflejada en su gran historial de colaboraciones. Su harmónica se mueve con igual  eficacia  en terrenos musicales tan remotos como el jazz, flamenco, pop y clásico. Él ha compartido escenario con artistas como Barbara Hendricks y Plácido Domingo, con innumerables orquestas clásicas en Europa, Wynton Marsalis, Lou Bennet, Toots Thielemans Vicente Amigo, Clarles Benavent y el gran Paco de Lucía entre muchos otros.

The award was given to him in 2014 by the Berkley Mediterranean Music Institute. In addition he received in 2015 the GRAMMY LATINO from the LATIN ACADEMY OF RECORDING ARTS & SCIENCES for his participation in the recording of the album ENTRE 20 AGUAS: A LA MUSICA DE PACO DE LUCIA.

 

Antonio Serrano is a virtuoso of his instrument, one of the biggest names on the current Spanish jazz scene and one of the most sought after session musicians in the country. Endowed with an atonishing technical facility and deep theoretical knowledge, Serrano also shows an enormous musical versatility that is faithfully reflected in his long history of collaboration. His harmonica moves with equal ease in musical fields as far apart as jazz, flamenco, pop and classical. He has shared the stage with artists such as Barbara Hendricks and Placido Domingo, with countless Classical Orchestras in Europe, Wynton Marsalis, Lou Bennet, Toots Thielemans Vicente Amigo, Clarles Benavent and the great Paco de Lucia amongst many others.
